The British wife of ousted Syrian despot Bashar al-Assad has reportedly filed for divorce. Asma al-Assad, 49, is currently living in exile in Moscow with the former Damascus dictator but is said to be keen on relocating to London.
The ex-first lady is reportedly unhappy with her life under the watchful eye of Putin’s regime in Russia. According to The Jerusalem Post, which cites Turkish and Arab media reports, she has lodged an application with a Russian court seeking permission to leave Russia for Britain.
